Community Clean-Ups
Back to newsEO Luisa recently visited Burton Ettinger Elementary to speak about Ocean Plastics. During the presentation, a Grade 5 student proudly shared that her community organizes summer garbage clean-ups—and this year, nearly 400 people took part. Her story lit up the class, showing how one small effort can grow into something powerful.
Moments like this remind us that real change starts with simple actions. When students, schools, and communities work together, they create green habits that protect our planet. Our hope is that more schools are encouraged to do clean-ups and environmental leadership. Imagine the impact we could make—one student, one neighbourhood, one season at a time.
Every action matters. Every community can help. And together, we can create a cleaner, healthier Earth.
