Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages people to do good. Created in 2012, it promotes generosity in small actions. From giving your time to donating to using your power of voice, every act of generosity counts towards building a better world.
Buy Nothing Day
Beginning in Vancouver of 1992, Canadian artist Ted Dave launched Buy Nothing Day “as a day for society to to examine the issue of over-consumption.” Changing the date to line up with Black Friday, this day shines a spotlight on the implications of over-consumption and the affects it has on human and planet health. The intention behind Buy Nothing Day is about making small changes in our daily habits to produce a lasting lifestyle of consuming less, producing less, and wasting less.
