Bayview Community School Grade 7 Healthy Living students welcomed Green Schools to explore how energy is produced in Nova Scotia and touch on some of the impacts this can have on our environment and ourselves. They chatted about what changes they can make at home and at school to waste less energy. They were introduced to the concept of energy efficiency and the potential it has to maintain environmental sustainability!
Did you know that in Grade 7 Healthy Living they talk about environmental sustainability? Ideally your community and school should have characteristics of a supportive environment to maintain sustainability, because it is very difficult to remain healthy in a non-sustainable environment. Did you know students are expected to demonstrate effective communication to facilitate positive relationships between themselves and the world?
