Hebbville Academy 4th Annual School Garden Soup Day!

Hebbville Academy hosted their 4th Annual School Garden Soup Day this past fall!

It is a school wide event that students and staff look forward to every fall. They celebrate their harvest by eating a free soup meal compliments of their school garden. Their hard work of planting seeds in the spring, watering the garden all summer and harvesting the veggies paid off with many full happy stomachs.

The students were responsible for picking, washing and chopping the vegetables and making the soup too. A host of parent and community volunteers helped serve the free soup to all students. It is always amazing what students will eat when they have grown it, picked it, and prepared it themselves!
